Legacies - Sumter

Only Public bar in city. Bartender playing game and smoking as opposed to taking care of the literal FOUR people in the bar. Definitely miss out on sales if she had simply paid attention. I seriously hope that this isn 't the normal situation. I 'd rather drive or figure out how to get a membership to another bar. Upcharge ony well drink because I ordered it neat? Ridiculous.

I use to be a regular at Legacies until I decided enough was enough. I went weekly for karaoke with Elliott. I won a karaoke contest there, but my wallet was stolen so I lost my slip $25 Gift Certificate) had a photo of it, a bartender who remembered I won, and the KDJ to back me up. One of the owners refused to honor it saying I could be lying about using it even after making the bartender check through the slips that were already used and finding mine was not there. I asked him how he could accuse me of lying when I was a regular customer who he saw in there at least once a week? He was very condescending and rude about it. The same owner hit on me on several nights after heavy drinking. He never seemed to remember that he had already hit on me the week before. I have friends who had the same problem also including girls who have worked there. Borderline sexual harassment. I called in food once well before the nightly cutoff, my order was taken, went to pick up, waited 30 minutes, and was told it was because we called to order after the time the kitchen closes. After the bartender argued with the same owner, showing the time stamp on our phone, and the time stamp on the order receipt from where my fiance called, the food was made... and received an hour later. The food itself is hit or miss. It is either going to be really great or dry. The price is fair for what you get. Service depends on who is working. Staff seems to rotate often apart from a couple of regular bartenders that are usually great at what they do. All in all if you are going to get wasted the bartenders are usually quick and attentive. If you are not spending big bucks on liquor you can expect to get poorer service. I have stood at the bar for 20-30 minutes trying to get a soda refill even though I still tipped well when not drinking and usually did not drink). I understand the liquor is what makes the money and it is a business, but I expect equal treatment as a paying customer. I will not go to Legacies now unless a friend is playing musician). I no longer spend a lot of money when I go. Much better service, honestly, and integrity at other similar type businesses in Sumter. Also, if I receive any harassment over my completely honest review, my lawyer is on speed dial. Start treating customers better. I have so many friends who have finally stopped going to Legacies after poor treatment. It just is not worth it.

Mediocre service along with terrible food and drinks. It must have been an off day for the wings. Mine were INEDIBLE!!!!!! The sauce was not flavorful at all and the wings were undercooked. I took one bite and couldn't even stomach the rest. The waitress talked so much that she completely mucked up our orders and refused to take accountability for her error. Legacies shouldn't even serve wine because it tasted cheap and expired. It was an overall terrible experience and I will not be back.

One of the most popular ADULT bars in Sumter. Located across the street from walmart in the shopping plaza next to TJ. MAX. THe food IMO is pretty darn good, considering its a bar. They have fairly decent steak and potato. Along with a surprising variety of seafood such as scallops and shrimp, not what you would expect to see in a bar!. Included are also bar favorites like hamburgers,sandwiches and a great buffalo wings deal. The decour and feel of the pub is nice, Plenty of TV 's which broadcast all sorts of sports, someimes offer live music, and drink specials aren 't bad. Service indeed is slower than usual, especially during busy nights. But it just varies by experience. A good place to go for dinner in the afternoon or watch the game with friends while having a few drinks. 2-3 Pool tables available. Closes early at 2am, 1am on sat 's. Big spacious well lit parking lot, near other several bars. Your typical preppyish whiteboy bar. Not Booty Poppin action here. Though decent amount of women groups attend.

The quality of the food is pretty awesome. Well... I've only ever had the burgers because they are too damn good to try anything else. In regards to the review about memberships that's law, dear. It has to do with the smoking bans. As for the bar/nightlife I like it over all. It's weird the mixed aged groups that go to Legacies. One night I'll go and the place will be full of mid to late twenties, early thirties. The next night I go, the age range is 50 60 only.
