You do have to add salt and pepper to taste, which is smart, those on low sodium diets need that. The toast was lightly buttered…perfect. The potatoes were cooked nicely too. I couldn’t believe how fast our order was made.
Some of their dishes specials are really good, while other 's are barely edible. We are regulars now then get a surprise of the unedible as we did last with their recent chicken dumplings. The chef changed the recipe the chicken was harden dried tasteless cubes the dumplings were lumps of clay-like uncooked dough. it was all very dry little to no gravy sauce. Previously, that special has been more like homemade w/a moist country-gravy sauce, with shredded chicken a big moist homemade biscuit as the dumpling. Some of their best dishes are the cabbage roll special, roast pork, turkey dinner, beef stroganoff, chicken fried steak. Super nice hostesses servers as they are aimed to please. Very reasonable prices for retirees. Needs some updating upholstery repairs, but, we all get by bc we know they work hard to keep their prices down. They really cater to retirees. Music played is my generation, baby boomers , which I like. Just avoid the chicken dumplings until they return to their former recipe. Parking: A little bit of a walk when crowded on their busiest days, Sat Sun.
Great food and prices. Don’t let the building fool ya! Parking: Wide open spaces Kid-friendliness: Yes!
Came here 3 times and made this my familys eating spot because they have breakfast and lunch. Came here by myself today at 10am to order a french dip as always and the cooks can apparently refuse orders depending on their mood? Needless to say, i walked out and this place will never see me or any of my family ever again
Excellent food, fast service! Not a pretty place, but who cares what it looks like...the prices are good and the food is great.
