Monk's Grill - Sun Prairie

We had a fish fry at this restaurant. We enjoyed soup, fish, coleslaw, and crispy French fries. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the place was clean and well-maintained. We also had fresh brewed iced tea, which was exceptional. The cod was large and perfectly fried, and the fries were crunchy and well-done. I had clam chowder with oyster crackers, and it was also excellent. We were both full and happy when we left. They offer 2 and 3 piece fish fry options, but we each had the 2 piece option so we wouldn't get too full for dessert. The fish fry was really good, and I have also tried their outstanding burgers here. This is my new go-to place.

This restaurant is your typical sports bar with standard menu options. I decided to try the buffalo chicken wrap, which had a nice kick of spice while still maintaining great texture and flavor. The chips were nothing out of the ordinary. The service was prompt and my order was prepared swiftly.

Extremely accommodating. I was visiting my children and grandchildren and we decided to have dinner here. There were 6 adults and 7 small children in our group. The waitress was fantastic - very patient and extremely helpful. The food was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

We pass Monk's Bar Grill multiples times and finally had a moment to go in and dine. Buckle up, I like to do in-depth reviews, TL;DR at the bottom. First Impressions: It was packed when we arrived, parking was an obstacle in and of itself. This made usthink that this was the place to be. We're not sports enthusiasts, but the thought did cross my mind if there was some sportingevent that lead to the high volume of tenants. Wait Time: We go in, it's a 10-15 minute wait, we go back outside to wait asthere was a line, and 3 minutes later a table cleared up. Being as packed as it was, we understood that there might be somewait time for our order to be taken and our meals to come rolling out. Overall, it wasn't too unbearable, and it was morereasonable than anything. They have a cool robot server running around, I hope it's getting paid fairly. Atmosphere: It's yourusual sport bar/pub restaurant combo. They had a bar area, TV's all around playing different things, lots of Packer decor, butthis is WI, so it's expected. Service: Our server was very chill and attentive. Overall, Morgan did great! Food: We orderedthe cheese curds for the appetizer, the server was kind to inform us that they taste better with ranch than with marinara sauce,but they did fail to inform us that ranch is extra $0.50) but now you know. We also ordered their Sweet Chili CauliflowerBites, the sauce tasted like Asian Zing sauce from Buffalo Wild Wings, other than that, it's fried cauliflower with sauce. Forthe main meal, we ordered the Smoked Brisket Burger and the Alamo Burger. At first glance, they look amazing andphotogenic. The Alamo was very disappointing, there was no flavor in that patty. After a couple of unsatisfied bites, Idisassembled my burger. The mushroom caramelized onions were oddly very sweet and overpowering, with a hint of BBQ sauce. Itsays there's bacon in there, but I didn't taste the bacon when it was all together, after separating, the bacon was sad so

So I currently reside in Brookfield Wisconsin and drove 1 hour to my Noon appt at Milan laser hair removal appt because my location was booked up. I left from there hungry and ran into Monks bar and grill, they were packed so I knew I had to try it!! Best thing I could of done!! From the moment I walked in the service was exceptional. I sat at the bar and JOSH was mybartender, definitely one of the top 3 I?ve encountered since I?ve lived in Wisconsin for 2.5 years. I ordered a old fashionwhich was very good and I?m picky!!! I started with French onion dip and monk chips, super delicious! He recommended theJamaican dry rub and I also did the Korean bar b que wings (wings are one of my top 2 favorite foods) that was also superdelish!! ONE MORE THING!!! The Brisket street tacos were also veryyyyyyy good! I will definitely return even though it?s ahour from where I live ???????????????? When you visit go to the bar and ask for Josh, he won?t disappoint you with hisservice!
