Brookside Market - Sunnyside

This great cafe is now open in the evening as a wine bar, and everything about it is perfect: candlelit atmosphere, peaceful back garden, concise and tasty menu, interesting wines, lovely service. I am so, so happy it's now an option for dinner in the neighborhood! We had the oysters, steak, and bitter salad, and everything was wonderful.

I came to the market to take a meeting after 5pm, but by then they had changed to be less café-y and more restaurant-y. they were very kind and let me take my loud meeting anyways, but now there’s a no-laptop policy after 5. it’s great vibes as a café and restaurant, and i’d recommend checking out both options!Food: 3/5

Great cafe with tasty coffee and a great staff! They have a backyard which is great for when the weather is nice. Great place for productive work. I also enjoy feeding my coffee addiction here.Food: 5/5

My bf and I are frequent customers to Idas Nearbout and Brookside market as it’s owned by the same owner and we like the spots, although last Saturday I brought a friend of mine to the cafe (Brookside market) to introduce her to the neighborhood since she just moved to Sunnyside and the person at the register was extremely rude and unfriendly. The barista wasn’t friendly either, I felt embarrassed for the way my friend was treated when placing her order. It was a shame and I don’t think none of us will be coming back.
