There were also issues with the self-order system not linking to the payment system. However, I bumped up the rating to 2 stars after an employee fixed the issue and the manager came by to ensure we received our order.
I tried the jasmine milk tea, which tasted overly perfumed and reminded me of lotion. The boba and sweetness level were good (50% sweet), but I would opt for a different drink next time. The spicy tofu dish, on the other hand, was delicious, with a crisp and spicy flavor that we enjoyed. Overall, while the food was hit and miss, the service and atmosphere left much to be desired.
The drinks and snacks at this restaurant are excellent. I highly recommend trying the Thai tea, which is delicious. I suggest ordering it with cream instead of milk, 50% sweet, and add boba for a great twist. The strawberry green tea is also quite tasty. The front of the restaurant is now called Mayan Kitchen.
Online / in the shop kiosk order available. I ordered the cheese garlic noodles, hot and sour noodles, roast chicken **** and crispy chicken bowl. the crispy chicken dish does not contain eggs as advertised on their image menu. the rice contained in the crispy chicken dish seems like a diner, as some parts of it were a bit hard. bee garlic nudel seemed dry and thought it would be cheesy, but his (inspiring) parmesan cheese blown up. the largest was made of hot and acidic noodles (it's just sour, no other taste.) the roast chicken beans was better than the rest that was ordered but not enough to want to second. Finally, the proportions for the costs are low.
Come try their pork jian bing (a Chinese street food)!I pass by Murphy Street several times a week on my way to and from the Sunnyvale Caltrain station. When I need a bite in the morning, or if I'm just hungry in the afternoon, I'll stop by K Tea. Their jian bing are delicious and filling, and they deviate from traditional Chinese jian bing in the best ways. Ordering is also simple and service is friendly.I recommend the pork jian bing, even if you're usually a beef lover like me. For vegetarians, I think the classic is more worth it than the tofu.
