The tartare is amazing as are the profiteroles and everything is very fairly priced.
I was travelling alone for business and looked for restaurants nearby, something local and authentic, so I found this place near a park and headed down to see it for myself. I was not disappointed, the interior looks like an Englishman expects a French bistro to look but it’s not at all contrived. It’s off the tourist routes in a residential area. The welcome was languidly suspicious when they heard my accent but warmed once I was heaping complements on the food. I had a herring tartare with potatoes, home pickled white onion and a zingy dressing. Then a lovely onglet with confit shallots all followed by a cafe gourmand, a great dessert for the terminally undecided. The food was not haute cuisine but prepared with skill and care with the emphasis on flavour. My busy day melted away. The wine list was short with something for everyone although it was a hot day so I had a beer Normally I like to try different places but I may well come back here. Recommend it.
Hervé welcomes us generously in her brewery but especially in her kitchen. authentic and gourmet dishes, a varied day market. a common point to all this map: freshness and quality products. Hervé invites us to discover or rediscover the specialties of our regions and thus restore its titles of nobility to what is fundamentally the brewery. See you soon!
A dinner perfectly orchestrated by the chef in person who takes us to the heart of a very fresh and sweet history that revisits the gastronomy of our countries very poetically, perfectly accompanied by the wine suggestions of the chef. The meal begins smoothly with a very fresh and original entrance, a beef tongue hinted in carpaccio, followed by a brandad of family cod and warm that one can easily guess made with love and generosity. This meal concludes with a beautiful tatin pie made home cooked to perfection, majesticly caramelized, in sum a very soft landing. this very friendly dinner in a family-friendly atmosphere. We're going to be filled with enchanted dreams.
We returned to eat in this restaurant that has kept all its good aspects since our first visit a few months ago. a traditional authentic cuisine (specially for the veal liver and sole meunière), good reception and attentive service. We'll be back soon!
