I was tricked by the 9.4 rating on Skip the Dishes! The spicy ginger beef was not spicy and had no ginger! so I don 't know what it is other than bland beef . Bland, dry beef. Pork chow mein: same fate. No flavor. My husband forced me to eat one (1) noodle (I normally will not eat chow mein) and I concluded I could neither like nor dislike the flavor *because there was no flavor*. Chicken fried rice was so salty it was not edible, though my husband says it has more flavor than the chow mein which is... something. It also had chunks of white onion in it? Who puts white onion in Chinese fried rice? And the best part was when I bit into one of these fairly large onion pieces, it had no flavor either, I think it was just protesting in solidarity with the rest of the food. Green onion would have at least added some flavor other than salt . The only thing ONLY thing that was edible was the chicken balls. And it is so hard to find Chinese food restaurants in Surrey serving them, they are very much Canadian Chinese food at best but are a staple for me in an order, and thankfully, those are fantastic. But to be fair, it 's hard to mess up deep fried battered chicken and sugar sauce (sweet and sour sauce). Portion size: at least 1 3rd less than ANY other chinese food place on the rice chowmein. Nail in coffin: $65 worth of food and they were too cheap to even put fortune cookies in there! Conclusion: Never again. Anyone who orders here, may the odds ever be in your favor I guess.
I ordered $100 worth of food got home not one fortune cookie in bags, phone and asked why, they said you have to order them, 6for $1.50 in all my years of ordering Chinese food I’ve never been charged for fortune cookies. Girl just hung up on me called back to speak to manager she hung up again. I will never give them my business again. Poor PR and rude service on her part.
I love the Chinese food from the rickshaw have been going or ordering for 30 plus years the food is always amazing… however tonight I was charged 11 dollars for delivery and in my opinion that is too much , delivery was free 2 years ago and jumped to 3.25 a year ago which I complained about I was a loyal customer for years … so I am sad to say tonight was my last meal from a fantastic restaurant ….
Ordered the chowmein and fried rice. Only ate some chowmein it tasted funny. Not like usual. Been running to the bathroom since. I give it a 0 star. Done with them for awhile.
