Feedback gevenPopped in for a bite to eat as we had time on our hands. We both ordered fish and chips with some bread and butter. I’ve got a small appetite so ordered the mini fish and chips for £4 and my other half had the large fish and chips for £6ish. The fish was fresh and well cooked, the chips were hot and chunky. More than enough food in each portion. Excellent and tasted really good.
I was working on Sheppey for a few months so decided to have lunch here several times. What a mistake. I had to wait a few times, 20 mins for a breakfast. Other 2 times I walked out as the food timing went up to minimum 30 min wait, not even busy! On one occasion there was not one cleared table in the whole restaurant, piled with plates and cups, no coffee or chocolate machine either, absolutely disgraceful. I think there were 3 people in kitchen/service zone, not their fault..... it’s managers. Did I complain? Yep, to Rick a duty manager on 2 occasions. He reported it to middle manager, a young lady. She met me while waiting! I mean, I had enough time after all! Apologies given. bla bla, free coffee bla bla. A week later, same problem. Spoke to middle manager again, same ole staff problem bla bla. She took my e mail and promised a full investigation as it was a joke, I wasn’t the only one for goodness sake, lots of people unhappy about it. I’m still waiting for said investigation and report....... thanks Miss Middle Manager. I had to go to KFC opposite, a cardinal sin in my eyes, guess what.... no hot drinks as no caps for their cups. Haha, you couldn’t make this up. Cheese sandwiches from home now.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I only had breakfast and drinks, but when I asked for poached eggs, I was told that the cook couldn't make them, so I had fried eggs instead. When my food finally arrived, the toast was cold and hard, and the eggs were overcooked and crispy. It took a long time for the food to come out, and the tables were stacked up and not cleared. The restaurant definitely needs more staff, and the current staff should focus on serving customers instead of chatting with them. Overall, I was very disappointed and I think I will avoid this place next time.
I was told it would take upto 1/2 hour. sure enough it took 1/2 hour. i'd drank my coffee, the toast was cold and rock hard. the breakfast was warm at best. not worth the wait. has to be down to the staff.
The food at this restaurant is a great deal, and the employees are extremely courteous. My sister and I enjoy stopping by for a coffee and conversation every once in a while, and we also like to meet our friends there. Thank you, Morrisons!
