Three words.. SQUARE ICE CREAM!!!! It is a must to stop here for the square yumminess! You've gotta check out how many scoops they've sold on the board by the ice cream counter. I had the huckleberry cheesecake in a waffle cone, don't be surprised by the chocolate whopper at the bottom of the cone.. lol Cute little store with fun snacks and trinkets.. Also, they have the cleanest port-a potty's I've ever seen in my life!
We stopped here for gas on the way to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Got the huckleberry and strawberry square ice creams in waffle cones. They were just alright. Strawberry tasted like regular grocery store ice cream. Huckleberry tasted artificial, too sweet. Did not like it. Cone was good though and they had a malt chocolate ball at the bottom. The female cashier at the front was a bit rude. Seems very angry and unfriendly with an angry frown. Maybe because we are the only minority people here...lots of stares. Sometimes feel racism and feel unwelcome in middle America. Also no one was wearing a mask. The sign says it's world famous ice cream, but really it's just okay.
Seriously! Cubed ice cream!! We had the Caramel Caribou and the Yellowstone Mudslide (chocolate, peanut butter, oreo brownie! and it's the same price for a cup, regular cone or waffle cone. Tip the scoopers they deserve it!
I guess the pandemic isn't a real thing in Swan Valley? My kids even voiced their surprised disapproval of the staff and patrons not wearing a mask. ZERO stars. Dude, the staff serving up the famous* square ice cream wasn't even sporting gloves. *Huckleberry ice cream is our traditional go-to on our way to Jackson. FIVE stars. Wear a mask AND gloves and you'd get five stars. Great little fill up, pit stop on your way to Jackson. That's all.
