Hard Rock Cafe Sydney

I drove all the way from Penrith to this restaurant, paid for parking, only to find it closed. It was showing as open online and I even managed to book a table.

The service at this restaurant was awful. It took a long time for our order to be taken, and one of our drinks was forgotten, resulting in us waiting for over 10 minutes for it. The server appeared to be overwhelmed or perhaps just annoyed in general.

The experience at this restaurant was pleasant and exciting as we had a table overlooking Darling Harbour. The entrees were delicious, but unfortunately, they forgot our main meals. Our son had finished his main and they had cleared the plates before our mains arrived, which were cold when they did eventually come out. This was especially disappointing since we had waited 1 hour after ordering. When we finally asked for the bill, it took an additional 10 minutes to arrive and there was no acknowledgment of our special occasion. Overall, it was a little disappointing, considering it was our wedding anniversary.

It is a classic rock café vibe noisy, many people drink, but still keep it family friendly, and fun. It is right next to Darling Harbour, so at night, the views are beautiful especially on their outside seat. Our table of 3 ordered a fish, a steak and a rib lure. The fish was a tilapia and perfectly made with a firm side of frits. The ribs were also delicious, falling from the bone, and the sauce was wonderful, also with one side of frits. The steak was ordered as medium rare, but it came well done, and very hard. Overall, the service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and attentive.

The waiters were so friendly and polite. We had two waiters when the shift ended halfway. They were both so inviting and made jokes and conversations with us. Our second waiter gave recommendations on food and drinks and even warned us about the desserts (how big they were). He came back after we finished the massive dessert and congratulated us. A really beautiful experience with great American style food.
