I had a bad experience with the Medu Vada, which was poorly cooked and had a bad smell. The waiter failed to inform us that one of the dishes we ordered would not be available. The food was hard and dry. As an Indian, I can say this was the worst Indian food I have ever had. I recommend trying other Indian restaurants in Makati instead. The management is bad, and the overall experience was unpleasant. The biriyani rice had artificial coloring. The staff seemed uninterested and annoyed by our presence. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
The Indian cuisine at this restaurant is good, but the portion sizes are small. Even their mild dishes can be quite spicy!
My friend and I went to this restaurant for the first time last week. We should have been cautious as the location was rundown and not very clean. We ordered poppadoms, a grilled Tandoori plate, lamb rogan josh, and rice. The restaurant seemed busy with delivery drivers constantly coming in and out, but we patiently waited for our food. After about 25 minutes, we asked the waitress about the poppadoms and she returned from the kitchen asking if we wanted them fried or grilled. When our Tandoori platter arrived, it was covered in a strange cheese topping, which was not typical of Tandoori dishes. The lamb rogan josh had a nice sauce, but the meat was tough and almost inedible. When we finally got our rice, it was already cold. An hour later, both of us became violently ill. We should have taken the warning signs seriously.
A small one out of the way, eat up in the crucifixion, but try to find it if they like Indian food. they have made an extensive menu with many I have never seen in the many Indian restaurants I have visited in other countries. I have. visited several times and eating is always served quickly, hot and tasty. they put the level of the flavor after their taste, so if they are not familiar with Indian food, they can go for everything on the menu and it should not be too hot. try it if they have not yet been in an Indian restaurant!
Indian food is hard to find in Manila, and in BGC specifically there's just one place for me: New Bombay. The spice levels are great, and the dishes are pretty authentic. Worth braving long waiting times for!
