I'll be back!
A lovely cafe that is nicely decorated and situated right by the railway station. The afternoon tea I ordered was nice, the lemon drizzle cake was the standout. However, there are a few places it can be improved and so I don’t sound like that angry man from trip advisor hopefully the feedback below will show how the afternoon tea can be improved and bring a review like this to 5 stars in the future. A lot of the pastries were not fresh, the scone in particular was cold (it would have been much nicer warm) and when I tried to butter the scone it fell apart. Similarly the Christmas cake was also dry indicating that it was not fresh. This is why the review is 4 stars instead of 5 because as I mentioned the cafe is very nice, the staff are friendly, the meals of all the other members in my party looked delicious and they were all happy with them, and they said the coffee was great
Obviously, what attracted us in was the proudly displayed terrible review. It's not true. The breakfast was great quality food and almost plenty of it (1 more round of toast wouldn't break the bank? . Decent coffee too. OK. This isn't the cheaper end of the breakfast market be warned! But. Worth a visit.
Lovely quirky cafe xx good food and drink choices. Staff lovely xx love the Woodburner!!! Cosy on yesterday's rain filled day
What a really lovely place! Great coffee and cake selection. Full of interesting stuff with either a local or an eco friendly nature. Friendly staff even though they were trying to close and people just kept coming in....that's how good this is
