Best pizza in Tampa Bay! I eat here at least once a week (I know it's a lot, but fortunately my love for the gym complements my love for great pizza : The food is consistently great and tastes even better if you order in and eat it at the restaurant! They only use the best quality ingredients in their dishes and it's clearly reflected in the taste and presentation. Everyone who works there is super friendly and awesome! Dont miss out...Definitely check it out!l
LOVE this place! I swear, I don't eat pizza every day. Ok, maybe I do. Well at least I am honest and can always recommend the best pizza spots in Tampa. Mirro's (formerly Paci's Pizza) is located close to Plant High School in South Tampa and is such an adorable place. I love the decor inside and it really makes me feel at home. Their pizzas are not only huge in size, but huge on flavor. Service is outstanding and everything I have tried on the menu is fantastic. Nothing is better to me than pizza made from love, and Mirro's certainly serves up some of the best. If you are looking for New York style pizza in Tampa, this is your spot.
We heard this place had good NY pizza so we decided to give it a try. The menu is extremely basic. 2 kinds of pizza, NY cheese and a Margarita pizza. Only 2 sizes, 14 and massive 24 pizza. A couple of appetizers and salads, that's it. Add your toppings to whichever of the 2 pizza's you choose. No specialty pies, like all veggie or meat lovers. This is how you define basic. The pizza is very good. Firm, well done thin crust pizza. Lots of cheese. Not like chain pizzas places where they measure out an exact amount of cheese. Toppings were generous. We ordered the 14 NY cheese pizza with 1/2 meatballs and 1/2 mushroom, green peppers and onions. The meatballs were a large sliced meatball that took up most of the slice of pizza. The taste of the meatball was ok. Had better. Soda's were canned. At $1 each simple enough. Fountain with free refills would be better. Also they do not have iced tea. They do have beer and wine. As I said, very basic across the board and they do NY pizza justice. Give it a try.
This is a fine place for NY style pizza in a casual setting. We wanted pizza and wine, so we decided to check Mirro's out. I think it's a good place if you want a casual meal, but if you're wanting great service and a nice wine list, you probably need to look elsewhere. Service is SLOW. Very friendly, but slow. I was okay with the pizza being slow to come out, but the salad took a long time too, and it was chopped romaine with generic croutons and generic sauce served on the side in a plastic container. There's no reason that the salad should take more than 5 minutes to come out. The pizza was good. It was huge (22 inches!!! . It tasted great and wasn't too oily. I would happily eat the pizza again. The wine list was very basic. Most varietals only had one choice. There were a lot more beers on the list. The beer was mostly served in cans. I think this place is more of a take-out/delivery kind of place for me. And I'll skip the caesar salad in the future.
