Auberge L' Etape - Tautavel

A very special and nice place to go with your family. People attending was very kind. everything was good. Price too. Dessert. If you go to tautavel you should stop down there. Close to the museum.

Serge and his lovely wife gave us a welcome to remember. Stopping over in Tautavel for a few nights saw us heading for Serge's place every evening for some great food, local beers and wine and humerous company. Cheers Serge, will definitely drop in next time we're over that way.

Having found the restaurant in Vingrau closed because it was raining ! we headed back to Tautavel and discovered this place tucked away near the Mairie. Looked very unassuming but we were starving and gave it a try. Friendly welcome and limited menu but that is often a good sign. I had the lamb cooked with thyme and it was beautiful. Good house wine and dellicious desserts. What a find! We'll certainly go again when we're out wine hunting.
