Le Resto Du Lac - Tavernes

Expect to sit on the lake, but turns out to be situated in an unpkeasent shed. Ordered moule frites since there was not much more choice. Moules were overcooked and therefore tasteless. French fries were ok, but a tiny bit. Personnel was clearly not able to handle the summer peak.

All in all a terrible visit at Restaurant Du Lac. We waited approximately 1 hour for our food, the waiters did not understand us, and they appeared aggressive in their frustration towards this. On top of this the food was horrible as well. Horrifying experience, do not go there.

Dismal pace, frightful service, a mere shrug from waitress when my daughter found a fried wasp in her frites no apology or even comment! Other food not very edible. Avoid its the worst food in France. Plus you get smoked out by all the smokers...

We have been welcomed by the boss, in an almost insulting way. When sitting at the table, no one would come and take our order. After 40 minutes waiting, we decided to leave. There’s no restroom for men!

I had the papillote de saumon with frites, kids pastas, husband pizza margarita. 4 soft drinks and bottle water. Cost Eur 69. Everyone enjoyed their lunch after intensive 4 hours kayaking and pedal boating through the gorges next door. Place is simple and spare, service efficient and no-nonsense.
