Shifnal Cottage - Telford and Wrekin

We had heard great things about Shifnal Cottage, so my wife and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the staff seated us promptly. The food was exceptional, among the best we have ever experienced. The wait time between ordering and receiving our three courses was minimal, and each dish was delicious. We cannot fault this place and are excited to return soon. Highly recommended. Thank you to the staff at Shifnal Cottage for a job well done.

We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday at this Indian restaurant, as it is the only one she will visit. The meal was fantastic as usual. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. The entire restaurant, inside and outside, was immaculately clean. We have dined at Indian restaurants all over the UK while on holiday, but have never found one as impressive as this one.

The food at this restaurant is very good and the atmosphere is pleasant. The staff is attentive and friendly. However, I found some of their practices to be a bit strange, such as moving the rice from one plate to another in front of me and ladling the curry onto the rice. I would prefer they just bring me my food as is. Also, when dining with a large group, they brought out non-Indian dishes first, causing the Indian dishes to become cold by the time they were served. Despite these quirks, I still enjoyed the experience and would consider going back.

Went here with some one in support the other day. Service was fantastic, menu is probably the biggest menu I’ve seen at an Indian. The food was amazing, best curry I’ve had in a long while. Prices were in line with other Indians but the quality so much better. Lots of meat in my curry also.

Best south Asian cuisine in the county for my money. It isn’t the cheapest but it is the best and like almost everything else in life you do get what you pay for. The menu is a mix of traditional ‘Indian restaurant’ items and innovative interpretations. Fish and seafood lovers will adore the monkfish… staff are attentive yet discreet and vert friendly, ambiance and atmosphere excellent.
