Definitely not what we were expecting. I'm a devoted fan of red devil but this was very disappointing to all of 4 of us that ordered different things. Won't be back to this location. Sad.
I went had a pizza and wing special this afternoon. The dining room was empty, just my wife I. It wasn't busy at all. Our wings came out great, but our pizza was kind of burnt. I was going to complain, but why waste my breath. I just won't go back. I am very disappointed in this place. I'll just keep going to the original restaurant in Phoenix.
Excellent marinara sauce. Eggplant parmesan was wonderful. Attentive service. Lacked ambience and decor.
Short version: Paid $27.10 (plus tip) for carry-out of (1) Eggplant sub and (1) small, “spinach”/strawberry salad, no chicken. Pricing definitely not based on product costs, nor is pricing vegetarian-friendly—actually grossly overcharging for cheap, plant-based ingredients. Eggplant sub has 2 small cheese triangles and a spoonful of sauce. It was okay, but dredging unseasoned sub dry, needs big side of marinara—luckily I had homemade vodka-tomato sauce in the freezer. Strawberry spinach salad was actually spring mix lettuce with spinach sprinkled across the top. Chicken isn’t a salad add-on, it’s included so you still pay for it when you order “no-chicken”. Balsamic dressing was great, but had to add our own spinach, chevre cheese, red onion cherry tomatoes to taste our money’s worth. Tipped them to overcharge me then raided my own fridge for ingredients to feel like it was worth it. $30 should buy 1-2 family style chicken entrées, not (1) vegetarian sandwich (1) small vegan salad.[Cost of eggplant is $1.75/lb—chicken $5/lb—and only needs to be sliced before dredging, not pounded out, trimmed down seasoned] Vegetarian options: Limited unreasonably overpriced.
