I had never been here before but have heard a lot of great things about several of their locations and I wasn't sure what to expect, but they exceeded expectations! Ultimately deserving all five stars! First, we went here with a large group of about 14 including adults and a few kids. We were quickly sad down and felt comfortable in the area. We weren't smushed between other people or feeling crowded by other guests. Our server was absolutely fantastic! She was very attentive, funny, and kept the chips flowing before we placed our orders and go our meal. She was really great, perfectly attentive, and got everything right the first time. Being a large group, we've had our fair share of servers getting confused, mixing up orders, or getting things wrong missing things and we didn't have any issues. Service was fantastic! The food was also amazing!! Everything was really great tasting and the portions were pretty large. After pretty much topping ourselves off with chips before we even got our main meal we took enough home for a hearty snack and next days lunch. Overall, the place was really great especially for our large group! We were seated quickly and felt comfortable in the area. Our server was BOMB attentive, patient, funny, and on point with taking our order and delivering what was expected to us. The food was flavorful and served up in large portions. They definitely exceeded the expectations I had and especially for the size of our group the food came out quick!
I came to try out their Sept week Centennial celebration. Each day having different items for 1.00. We had the buck tacos . Choice of street or crispy tacos filled with carna asada, macheca(shredded beef), pork, seasoned ground beef, or shredded chicken. The limit was 3 per person. At first, I thought street tacos would not fill me up but was I wrong. The tacos were brimming over the shell with filling and so delicious. I was completely satisfied along with their addicting light crispy chips with hot bean dip and salsa. They usually run daily specials for under $10 as well. I plan on going back to try out more entrees. I guess 100 years later they must be doing it right.
I have loved this restaurant since I was a child. It's always been my family's go-to Mexican restaurant and it NEVER disappoints. Do I love the food? Absolutely. Do I want to live off of their chips and bean dip for the rest of my life? You bet. Pro tip* Order their hot sauce. It's so so good. Here's what I'm really here to say, though. Their house manager, Michelle, who my husband and I always chat with when we are there, is spectacular. We have been to Serrano's on multiple occasions when they have either been slammed or stranded with one server and she is always so kind, professional, and accommodating. Every time. She works her butt off and it really shows. Tonight we had the pleasure of chatting with one of the Bartenders, Delora. One of the kindest people I've ever met. We enjoyed her company and she truly made my night. This place truly holds a special place in my heart, and yes, I know it's a food restaurant, but regardless. We will return again and again.
Food is good and great salsa and bean dip but they've raised their prices and some of the stuff is a little ridiculous.
I have come here twice in the past couple years and I have never had an issue with the service. My cousins love this place since they have been coming here forever. I do like the salsa and warm bean dip with the chips. One of our group ordered a cheese crisp and put bean dip all over it. A solid move in my book. I had the tacos. Nothing bad, nothing spectacular. This is a classic Tex-Mex place like we have back East. To stay relevant they need to modernize their menu a bit more. Maybe add some street style tacos? Overall it is fine. I liked the margaritas as well.
