Got the fried shrimp po-boy and wasn 't impressed for the price. Not the worst I 've ever had, but definitely not the best. On a 5 star scale, I give it a 2.
Went to eat dinner there about 5:30pm, no one else there but and older couple and someone waiting for something to go. Older couple was already eating. Ordered my food and got my drinks. Waited about 20 minutes to get some catfish and shrimp for my daughter and wife which arrived first. I order the all you can eat, chicken and catfish which came about 15 minutes later. No explaination from the staff on why in the world did it take 35 minutes to get my food in an empty place. And to ask the waitress twice for lemon and she still did not bring it. My wife had to get up and go ask for again and finally we recieved them. Feel sorry for the people who are eating there now, because waitress dropped the container that holds all the plastic wear to eat with on the floor. Staff picked it up and took it behind the closed doors, she came out 2 minutes later with the container full again. I knew they did not throw away all that plastic wear and just put them back in the container for everyone to enjoy!!!! Never again, place sucks now, I had been there before and never had such bad service. I think place was sold to new owners or management, but now, don't waste your time or hard earned money.
Everyone that wants a quick trip to Louisiana, can save time and money by going here. Like previous posters, it's true. The service from Sabrina and Sophia I think, is top notch. You can't fake a good soul.. Now, THE FOOD, Yep, the FOOD, Did I say FOOD? Well it is off the hook, Mudbug Etouffe and Gumbo of your choice. Sure dude, you can go Catfish route, and it will be fine, but if so, the point has been missed. Good Luck Fish Place, see you next time I come through. Danny
Food was mediocre but service was good. The catfish tasted like it could possibly be swai. This in itself is not a bad thing. Being from South Louisiana, it 's just not what I 'm used to in my fried catfish poboys/patters. What made it much less enjoyable, however, was that the fish didn 't taste very fresh at all... too fishy. Don 't expect to get traditional Cajun jambalaya, gumbo, or red beans and rice here. Actually they were extremely disappointing. I ate only two bites of my gumbo and just left the rest. I 'd give the place 1 stars for food... maybe it was an off day for them. Good service made it better but not quite very good . May try again but not any time too soon.
