This is an old school Houston original since 1923. Locals and insiders know. The hot dogs, chili and Frito Pie are legendary. Very good, fresh burgers and fries too. The Delaware Punch is still around but called “Coney Punch” now.The staff is well-trained, friendly and accommodating. JCI is a neighborhood and a family tradition with us. Tastes and feels like the real deal.

The staff at this restaurant has truly renewed my faith in people. They are warm, friendly, and attentive—qualities you don't often find in many places these days, especially not in a fast food restaurant. It was such a delightful experience. The food was not only beautifully presented but also tasted fantastic. While we were dining, several staff members were consistently checking to clean tables, the drink station, and counters. They are clearly doing things right here, and I want the entire JCI team to know that we noticed and greatly appreciate their hard work.

The restaurant is very clean, and Chicago-style food is always a great choice. However, I would recommend avoiding the frito pie, as there were some strange unidentified pieces of meat in the bowl. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.
