Icecream Social - Thornbury

This dessert shop feels like a blast from the past. It's super cute and offers a variety of vegan options. We tried the Vegan Hummingbird Cake, with its delicious crystallized pecans and moist texture - it was amazing. The Lemon Lime Bitters ice cream was a unique choice for us, but we really enjoyed its smooth and sherbet-like taste. If only this place were fully vegan, we would definitely give it 5 stars.

I love supporting this friendly small business whenever I can. I have tried numerous slices of their vegan pecan pie and they never disappoint. The brownie, chocolate hazelnut ice cream sandwich, Rocky Road, and mango lassi ice cream were all tasty, but the pecan pie is my go-to. Recently, I tried their new hummingbird cake and it was incredibly moist, rich, and delicious. Their pesto and frozen lasagna make for great value take-home meals. I have heard great things about their vegan sausage rolls, but have yet to try one.
