This year, I visited PEI with a large number of family, and I was eager to go back to the Wind & Reef with these family members. For some reason, we were not nearly as impressed with the food this time.I, unfortunately, convinced another diner to go with the Seafood Medley, instead of the Seafood Platter, as I was going to do, since the Medley was $10 cheaper, and the missing items from the Platter were items I did not want to eat anyway. However, when we each received our orders, it turned out that the whole meal was deep-fried....Not our intention at all. We both wanted fresh seafood, just not quite so much as was represented in the "Platter". I am still regretting that decision, as it was the other family member's last night in PEI, and she did not get to have her fresh seafood dinner!!Neither of the other adults in our party were "wowed" by their meals either....For the price we paid, we were all a little disappointed.
As a seashore native, i know fresh sewfood when i encounter it, and this was fresh. Nothing fancy in the preparation but delightful. The eaitress was very friendly and professional. However, it was the amazing view that really blew me away. You can see the sea from every window in the place. We had a relaxing lunch before hiking the coast and watching men harvesting kelp.
Right on the coast. Beautiful view. Menu had nice selection and food was good. The,staff very friendly and attentive.
We were grateful that this restaurant was still open. IN early October there were few choices on this side of the Island. We had the lobster which was OK. The service was friendly and attentive.
This restaurant is located at North Cape, the furthest tip on the west end of PEI. We took a nice walk along the shore before heading to the restaurant for supper. The staff were great and the food was delicious. The desserts are a must!
