The menu is not huge, and that is a good sign but there's something here for everyone, including our vegetarian friend and another who doesn't eat fish. Food is fantastic: tasty and imaginative. You must try the fabulous ricotta cake, or the egg carbonara, or the aubergine risotto... many more. On top of fantastic food, the service is excellent just the right pace, attentive, welcoming and very friendly. It's worth trying to find this lovely restaurant, which deserves every success.
I was a member of a group of eight, staying just over a mile outside of Tivoli. We booked to go to the restaurant, but then couldn't get taxis to take us to the restaurant. So one of our party had to drive us into Tivoli to the restaurant. When we got to the restaurant we asked if they could book us a taxi for our return trip. The family who run the restaurant were unable to find a taxi firm to take us home. But ... they said they would take us back when we had finished our meal. So one of the family drove four of us back to our accommodation, then returned to do the same for the other four. What service! The food was excellent too, and we had a truly memorable evening.
We’d spent the morning wandering around the gardens at Villa d’Este and happened across this wee place almost by chance. It was a lovely warm October day and we sat outside, under the trees. Service was impeccable friendly and helpful. We have a little Italian and they had some English so we communicated very well. The food was some of the best I’ve had during this visit to Italy. We started by sharing a portion of their crocchette gamberini and zucchini home made and delicious. Superb! My grandson had a perfectly sized portion of gnocchi al pomodoro the best I’ve ever tasted in any restaurant. My daughter had a lovely pasta dish and I had the risotto of the day. Usually I don’t order risotto in restaurants because it’s rarely as good as the one I make at home but this was great. If I ever find myself in Tivoli again, I’ll be back for more!
