Shamrock - TOCCO DA CASAURIA

I was staying right around the corner from The Shamrock Irish Pub and ended up going there a couple of times during my stay in Tocco da Casauria. Now Tocco da Casauria might not be the first place one would expect to find a place called The Shamrock Irish Pub, but there it is. I'm not a drinker, but for those who are, you get can Guinness and more while you're there. I did eat there more than once(don't worry-this was in between visits to some great local Italian restaurants)and the food was great. On my second visit, I had the large version of the Shamrock Burger, with fries as well. It was excellent. The owners are friendly, and it's a popular local spot. They take credit cards as well.

Such a shame and so unnecessary. Simply asked for Jameson’s whisky , they had none . Asked for j and b whisky they had none. Asked for draft beer. They ran out of all brands . I politely asked the barman why . His answer was I am making him angry . So unnecessary. I guess given the lack of his preparation it was taken out on us . Very humiliating experience, which left a bitter feeling of Italy .

An Irish pub seems a bit out of place in an old Italian village, however don 't be fooled, they have great food, wine and beer at a very reasonable cost. We ate there a number of times, trying a variety of dishes and we all agreed the food was great. In the warmer weather you can sit outside at tables and watch the world go slowly by. The 2 owners a very obliging and helpful. The test for me is, would I go back? Absolutely!

Cena con birre eccellenti, carne di ottima qualità. atmosfera tipica dai pub, pochissimi posti all'interno, libro migliore, ma chi vuole può mangiare anche fuori. Bel personale.
