Big Daddy's Fish Fry - Tofino

This place has the best fried pickles, fish burgers and fish n chips. Menu is on the wall, ordering and pickup was fast. We had the lingcod fish n chips and rockfish burger. The batter on the fish is fantastic. Best place in town!Food: 5/5

We went to Big Daddy’s Fish 3 times within 36 hours. Safe to say we loved it. The staff was very welcoming and this is easily the juiciest halibut we have had in a long time. The batter is crisp and the fish is soft and flakey. Coleslaw was tasty but pricey at $8. The fries, like at most fish and chips spots, were just okay and nothing to rave about. However, I could go eat that fish everyday. After the first time we did ask them to season the fish before batter. They complied and the fish got soooo much better. 5/5. Also great tarter sauce.

We had calamari squid for starters and then two times fish and chips, with lingcod and rockfish. And oh my, what a wonderful mealtime it was! I have lots of fond memories from Tofino and eating here is in top 3. Be advised, 1 piece of fish is enough for one person but if I were really hungry I wouldn 't hesitate for two pieces.+crispy and delicious batter, not too thick and not top thin+flaky and juicy fish+crispy and tasty french fries+squid is served with a japanese dressing which BLEW MY MINDCome and eat here, you won 't be disappointed

The restaurant has a wonderful outdoor dining area that creates an intimate atmosphere. The food was amazing! The halibut and chips were cooked perfectly and came with generous portions of fresh fish. The Humboldt squid calamari was a unique and tasty dish with great flavor combinations. The portions were reasonably priced. Overall, I would rate the food 5 out of 5.

Really great food, absolutely delicious fish chips! Would absolutely recommend it! The staff were also super friendly!
