Yama Japan Sushi Hibachi - Toledo

Amazing! Everything was delicious, service was wonderful and the menu selection is perfect with just enough of everything you want when you're getting sushi or hibatchi. The girl behind the counter was so nice and helpful, sorry I didn't catch her name. I wish I lived closer but I will definitely be back when I come through the area.

The tempura was hot, fresh, and tasty. the Yama's Green Roll was unique and very succulent. The spring rolls were crisp and hot but the filling was a bit mushy. We would have liked more crunch inside. But others are likely to enjoy the textures as they are. All in all, a good place for Japanese takeout.

May 2021 Sadly, my second visit did not measure up to the initial experience. The sushi is still very good, but the owner had a rotten attitude. He refused to allow us to open the door even though the air inside was full of smoke, and the temperature outside was 71°F. He didn't care at all even when I told him I had a permanent breathing problem. We ordered $60 worth of sushi, and we were forced to sit outside at Blaze Pizza! The manager of Blaze was nice enough to allow us to use their tables even though we had gotten our food from a different restaurant in the same shopping plaza. The owner of Yama said that the door of the business could not be left open to get fresh air even though a couple of other businesses had their doors open at that time. Aug. 2020 This place serves excellent sushi! I could even compare the quality to what I received at Genki Sushi in Utsunomiya, Japan. I ordered the rainbow roll, hot babe roll, and yellowtail box. All three were very good, even though the prices are a little higher here than what I'm used to paying.

My first time going here with my wife had our two kids with us. The food was excellent not bad pricing either for the flavor going back tomorrow try the poke bowls gonna get another bite of delicious food. Good service good atmosphere and even the restaurant goers we're really nice. Over all I give it ten out ten food 7-10 for atmosphere it is rustic new but calming experience and the price for food is 7-10 the food is worth eating there

I ordered the steak and shrimp. I got steak and some other fish that wasn't shrimp. I called and asked that they take my name down and replace my food next time that I call and place an order. The guy said no but they will offer me 10% off my next order and they will give me free shrimp. He also stated that if I am not happy I can bring the food back to them and they will replace it. I stated that I have a 1 year old who is in bed (its 830pm) and that I am not driving all the way across town when gas is $5 a gallon. The guy that that was the best he could do. I love this place however after even offering to email them a photo so they know I am not lying they were so rude and not offering to replace my meal another time. I am truly bummed and will not go back since they were rude about the mistake that they made.
