A first observation is that this is a restaurant that has joined the momentum, especially with an electronic reservation system that actually functions. The welcoming was as it it should be, Italian charm blended with professionalism and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. We opted for the shorter (red menu) with matching wines. What an enjoyable experience! The chef sticks to the Italian heritage but also ventures off the beaten track to deliver a dazzling meal on the plate. The appetizers were top-notch, as were the main courses, in particular, the deer was truly wonderfully delicious. The service continued to be of an absolutely high standard throughout the entire service. In summary. Delicious food, fantastic service, and wines. Very agreeable setting. If I could point out one small point of improvement, it seems to me that in this setting it is not advisable to play a playlist made up of The Police, Pink Floyd, and The Beachboys, which at times was rather a bit loud. I am already looking forward to the summer menu and you will definitely see us again soon.
An incredible service without losing the sense of privacy. Intimacy is key in this place. The food was amazing, while at the same time, each dish was a completely new world for my palate, but I agree with other reviews here, maybe it is a little bit too expensive
I debated long and hard about whether to give this three or four stars, and eventually plumped for the former. But if I had a choice, I’d probably give it 3 and half stars. There were many things that I liked. The ambience was certainly one of them. The room is beautifully decorated, the tableware is stunning, and the staff were without exception friendly and engaging. It was also a nice touch that the chef came out to talk to us. Service was first class – effortless. There was one stand-out dish, which was the scampi with almonds. This was a sensation, and the sort of dish that I will remember for some time to come. Some of the rest of the Evolution menu was well-cooked but not desperately interesting. And some of it needs attention. I would particularly mention all the dishes that included a bread or crumb base. These had obviously been made much earlier in the day and kept in an atmosphere that had made them all go rather claggy. All bar one of the canapes suffered from this problem (the exception being the one with the fried crisp base). This is not the sort of start to a meal that I would expect. The paired wines were all fine, if a little unadventurous. And a bit more of an explanation about where they were from and why they had been paired with the different dishes would have been nice. That said, the wine was in good supply with glasses being topped up as needed.
Arrivederci.
