I have come here many times over three years as I frequently have classes in Sidney Smith. The convenience has never justified the quality or price of the product. Many times the staff have been rude, mixing up orders, not vocalizing when orders have been completed and mixing up people’s drinks. I have been a barista and the staff seem completely untrained to make the types of drinks they are serving. The espresso is regularly burnt, as is the milk, and the matcha is mixed poorly if at all. I ordered an iced matcha latte last week and had so many chunks of matcha powder in the drink that I was chewing it. I will not be giving my money to Second Cup going forward, as they seem to have a lack of regard for training and quality standards.
Lined up like everyone else. Got the worst coffee. Tasted like... I don't even know?! Awful. Just ordered a quick regular black coffee. Urns obviously need washing! Was in meeting so couldnt leave so just dumped coffee.
I go to this Second Cup location every once in a blue moon, hoping that I will have a good experience. I am a nice person who always says hi with a smile and says thank you. Yet, at this spot, in the best case scenario, I get disinterested employees who couldn't care less about my purchase. They usually don't even look at me when I pay. In the worst case, scenario, I have been served by employees who are outright and deliberately rude. This is the only Second Cup where I find customer service to be dismal.
