Red Bird Diner - Trochu

We had the pleasure of dining at Trochu 's little hidden treasure 'The Sweetgrass Cafe ' at the Arboretum. We 've been several times before and it 's always a treat! On the menu today I had the Seafood Melt and the Iced Strawberry Rhubarb soup! Oh my!! It was perfect and one of my new favourites!! Even though Suzanne is very busy with preparing our lunch she always has time for her customers!! Thank you Suzanne for the beautiful meal and the lovely visit! We 'll definitely be back :D

We stopped by here and had some delicious drinks a matcha coconut frappe and a caramel macchiato) and also some desserts. I couldn't resist the creme brulee made with cherries the owner grew herself and tiramisu that was so yummy! The owner is so friendly and we enjoyed talking with her. The cafe is in an aboretum garden so we hung out in the shade on a beautiful day. Will definitely be coming back to try some of the enticing lunch sandwiches!

This cafe is so cute and cozy! The good is fresh and homemade and delicious! The owner/chef is fabulous! I asked for vegetarian and she was more then happy to accommodate! The gift shop inside the store is so nice filled with beautiful treasures ! This place is a must stop!
