Yamato Japanese Steakhouse - Tullahoma

Yamato in Tullahoma is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. The food is simply amazing and often so beautifully presented that it's almost too pretty to eat! The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, yet elegant and modern, with a touch of traditional culture. Since they remodeled, we've been encouraged to explore a wider variety of dishes because everything is so delicious. The sushi is incredibly fresh, and the hibachi dinner is served hot and cooked to perfection. We always have a 5-star experience!

The king's role was excellent. My waitress was attentive, but I overheard another waitress in the back speaking loudly about wanting to take a break after using the bathroom… definitely not the kind of conversation you'd want to hear from those serving your food. Thankfully, she wasn't my waitress. The restaurant looks great since its renovation, and the food was tasty.

This restaurant has recently been redesigned, and it looks fantastic. The sushi and other dishes are delicious, and I was very pleased with the service as well. I will definitely return.

This place got even better since the remodeling. The place is gorgeous, the staff is quik and always smiling. The food is the best Japanese in the area by far. The sushi is perfect and the Yakiniku tinder and delicious. This would make a great date night, or family diner spot. Try the Black Pearl roll as pictured in my photo!
