El Jardin - Twain Harte

El Jardin is one of my favorite places, so when I saw the reviews I was surprised. Service here was good, atmosphere is nice, the food was good, not great. The El Jardin places(Elk Grove, Columbia, Murphys and Manteca) just taste better. It was not busy for lunch time which was surprising.

To be honest I didn't have very high expectations of this place coming in. We ordered the carne asada fries and the Chile Verde plate and they were both extremely good. Only downside was the micheladas, they werent very flave. I would recommend this place to anyone who is skeptical about trying!

First time trying this place and it's so good! It's hard to find good Mexican food in the Mother Lode so I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. Only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because their Micheladas are not very good. But food is great, nice and cool inside, great service.

Margarita pitcher is $28! Amazing. Such a cute spot. Inside feels bigger than what it looks on the outside. Service is awesome. Great hospitality! Definitely recommend!

Check your take out order carefully. I listened to my father order and he was crystal clear. Unfortunately only one of our three orders was correct. I did not take it back since we were ready to eat. Very disappointing. We have had good experiences in the past but not tonight. Next time I will insist on opening the boxes in the restaurant before I leave.
