These guys are magnificent! I come here on almost a daily basis! They are always so friendly and when @they're not run off their feet they take the time to have a conversation with you. The food is ABSOLUTELY delicious. I can't pick a favourite dish because they're all great, although my children would say Butter Chicken. I Definitely recommend them. Also they do the tastiest cheesy naan I have ever had!
Good variety. The variety available is great. Not overly salty or sweet which brings out the favour of the dish. Spices are an integral part of the experience and it is used in the right potions. Though they were busy, the service was attentive and prompt. When you arrive at the food court, the aroma of the lovely spices will tell you the exact location.
Touch of India Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane. It could be written off by the mere fact that it is in a food court. Often it would be the case, however it seems that the Indian cuisine is one of the most adaptable in the world while still maintaining quality throughout. In fact, out of all the places on the floor within the food court this was amongst the most popular and bustling. As a rare case, the service here is not ripe for being critiqued as it was needing to manage a whole lot of people in such a short amount of time; it was what it needed to be, and this had some Indian that was comparable to a fair number of meals that I have had out (of the cuisine, that is). <br/ <br/ Like most places within a similar setting, there are all sorts of good value deals with even better value upgrades on top of the said value deals. An example here was that for a couple of dollars more than a curry and rice, you could get two curries, rice and a pappadam on the side. This is what I got. My choices of curry were a beef vindaloo and a chana masala. To get it out of the way, the pappadams should probably have been gotten out of the pacakge sooner in hindsight. <br/ <br/ Alongside that, with my dining buddy getting the same deal, a couple of entrees were gotten to share. First was a samosa then was a piece of chicken tikka. While the samosa was a bit stock standard admitting the shell was crispy and robust, the inside was the familiar ambiguous mush they put great effort in the presentation of the chicken tikka. There was a small salad of vegetables complete with dressing next to the chicken and the chicken was conveniently in two pieces. These vegetables were fresh and juicy, albeit a bit heavy on the leafy greens, which is a breath of fresh air to see come from a food court store. The chicken itself was really juicy, and had a spicy coating to it. Well worth it and a bargain to boot. <br/ <br/ There is not that much to say absolutely decriptively about the curries, but that is not to mention anything bad about them. Being in the pans for so long, they have been allowed to soak in their flavours which sometimes in turn care the said flavours be a combination of stronger and deeper on the palate. They manage to use good quality parts of meat in their curries, which was apparent with their version of the vindaloo. The vindaloo in itself was still bold in spice but did not burn the tongue too much. Next to it, the chana masala was certainly tame. It was abundant with plenty of chickpeas, some potatoes and a few smattering of other vegetables. <br/ <br/ All of this was topped off with a side of butter naan and mango lassi. The curries were served somewhat dry, so the small servings of the naan were apt. The lassis were really good, very thick and obviously made with a heavy yoghurt base. They were so thick that the straws from Touch of India were not sufficient, thus straws from elsewhere were gotten instead. It was a very refreshing drink. <br/ <br/ Of course it is no classic this place, it is really wholesome and delivers a filling meal. This is about as good as it will get in a food court in terms of quality, value for money and all round flavour.
