Les Bruyeres - Valleraugue

Nice terrace but... The terrace is very attractive but the dishes are very disappointing. The quantities served are also. The kitchen is banal and has little to do with the terroir.

Well, to be honest, I think I must agree with the other negative authors. How is it possible that Michelin, such a renown guide, advises such a restaurant? Okay, I admit they're in, not with a star or a BIB, but with the...money sign, which means a good value for a small price, but also, that wasn't admitting! You must have been in the lead for decades? In the 70s this must have been a rewarding hotel/restaurant? It's just a tourist trap, with completely outdated food. We were on a holiday trip, let us be guided by good weather and regions with good food and wines. So, what else for a leader than the red Michelin? Well, you win something, and you tear a few. We lost here. Once arrived (no Internet on the day before, we read all disappointments on Tripadvisor, but I hope they will be overreacted. Honestly, no, they're true. This is a spot on the arms of French cuisine and on the Red Guide! We saw what others got to take the menus and tried by just one dish, i.e. à la carte, that it would be better prepared. But unfortunately, compared to what others receive next to us, it was all in vain. Some accompagnying vegs, potatoes etc. for both our plates were exactly the same; Back-off bread, overcooked ratatouille (was it really worth it, it ratatouille? . A good point, my steak was rarely cooked as I ordered it. Avoid. The hotel itself gives an honest value.

This restaurant (and hotel) is open only between May and early October. It has a magnificent outdoor dining area next to the river Herault, and a good selection of dishes with 3 set menus at different prices, and an A La Carte. The menu does not change... much and the choice for vegetarians is limited to an omelette or a plate of vegetables, but the service and the ambience are very good.

Very good reception, not excessive a wine at 19€ of 2012 exceptional. Just by the river, calm down. simple menu tasty and very good service. We recommend it. and we'll go back.
