Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, and you could see the careful plating. We had no idea this restaurant was plant based until we read it in the name afterwards, definitely would recommend for vegans, and meat eaters alike.
4 of us went to Chi for a real feast. Only 1 person in our party was Vegan who has to pick from a small menu when we go out, so it was her turn. The ambience is very cool and the people are very friendly. The owner came up and talked to us a few times through out our dinner. Well, we ordered a lot. I think about 12 dishes in total and a few bottles of organic wines. Some of my favourites were the wontons, crispy mushrooms, green curry, lemongrass “chicken”. Just look at the photos, the dishes were as tasty as they looked.
Two words. Brussel Sprouts.I ordered them as delivery and inhaled every last speck. So good. And the cute drawing on the personalized bag of who I suspect is Chi’s dog made the delivery fun.
Chi is a wonderful dine-in experience for the vegan and carnivore alike. We came for one of our first out-to-dinner meals as newcomers to Vancouver from the US and we intend to come regularly. The flavors here are unbelievable. The chef makes their “fish” sauce in house and it is quite literally the best sauce I have ever had. It is versatile and subtle in their dishes as well as flavorful and unique. At the end of our meal, we were greeted by the owner herself who offered to sell us a personal jar of the sauce upon request. Happy to report they also sell jars of their chili dipping sauce. We were stuffed by the time dessert came around, but we’ll be back for a full sampling of their dessert menu soon! Their dishes are seasonal and change around every 10 weeks so there is something new each visit. Cannot recommend this establishment highly enough! Thank you Chi!!Vegetarian options: 100% plant based and vegan menuWheelchair accessibility: No steps to enter building. Patio seating area with 3 tables (up to 6 ppl). Bathroom is likely too small for a mobility device.Dietary restrictions: Plant based with GF options
Amazing! Best vegan restaurant in Vancouver. Each dish was carefully prepared, you could see that the chef (who was in Master Chef) is very detailed oriented in the restaurant, cocktails, meals and even desserts!I recommend it 100% I’ll definitely come back!
