It's a little tricky to navigate the restaurant, but when you arrive it's so beautiful and the food matches the tone of the restaurant. The service is phenomenal as the chefs come around and serve you a variety of meats straight onto your plate. You have the option to choose fatty pieces, lean, etc., and not have to move at all. Within the restaurant however, there is already made food, but I go here for the experience of the meat. The only thing that I would say is worth trying out at the food bar is the pasta.
A group of 6 parents went out for a night on the town without kids and decided to dine at Rio. They were pleased they did! The food was excellent, with perfectly cooked meat that was juicy and mostly served medium rare. The buffet was well stocked, fresh, and offered a wide variety of choices. The only disappointment was the general table service, which, while friendly and helpful, was only adequate. However, the meat service was fast and consistent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and they will definitely be returning in the future.
Not bad, but a bit inconsistent.. Came here since a friend flew in and wanted churrascaria (and Samba's wasn't an option). Arrived on a weekday night, and it was very quiet to start there was only one other table but picked up and got more energetic as the night went on. The service, was very attentive throughout, with the servers coming around at very regular intervals. While most of the food was good, I'd have to say that there were definite misses. The crackling pork and chicken were very dry, and the top sirloin had a salt crust with even more salt used for the seasoning. That said, the lamb was very good, and I enjoyed the rack of ribs that went around. Overall, the service was good, the salad bar was standard but fresh, and the meat had more hits than misses.
Every now and then, you stumble upon a fantastic restaurant that leaves you thinking about it for days. That's exactly what happened when Cheese recommended Rio Brazilian Steakhouse to us. We were all eager to give it a try, so I quickly made reservations for us online for the following week. Rio Brazilian Steakhouse has two locations – one downtown on Denman Street and another in Coquitlam.
We had an amazing night at this restaurant. The food, variety, concept, and service were all excellent. We were impressed by the vibrant, energetic, and sexy show they also provided. We highly recommend this place.
