This restaurant is truly the best Indian food we have ever had, whether dining in or getting takeout. Minesh and his family clearly know what they are doing, and every recommendation we have followed from them has been spot on. If you want an authentic dining experience with incredibly well-prepared food, you can't go wrong with Gaj.
Was relatiw good, but went too terrible! You don't know what happened? garnel were dry, overboiled, really bad!
This was my first time ordering Indian food in Quebec. While in Montreal for business, we were unable to dine out due to the 28-day indoor dining restrictions in Quebec. We usually ordered rice dishes from a Japanese restaurant, but wanted something different for dinner. I opted for the fish pakora from this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The fish was flavorful and accompanied by a spicy dipping sauce that complemented the light, crispy batter perfectly. The portion size was generous and easily satisfied two people. Overall, the fish pakora was delicious and a great choice for a satisfying meal.
We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. The food has always been great and the service is very friendly. My family and I have tried a variety of items from the menu over the years. One of my children loves the lamb, another prefers the chicken, and my youngest enjoys the vegetarian options.
We went there expecting good Indian food. Tandoori chicken was recycled -rewarmed, chicken tikka was dry and over-cooked. Naan was excellent. No condiments of any kind provided. Price was steep for the quality and quantity of food. Service was sparce, ambiance was average and no...music of any kind except family members of the owners chatting away loudly in one corner.
