Previous reviewers may not have been satisfied due to a change in ownership, but we found that the restaurant has found its rhythm again. We were impressed with everything we ordered - I especially enjoyed the portobello sandwich on gluten-free bread, which was delicious. My husband loved his meatloaf sandwich as well. The restaurant is clean and friendly, located right by the beach. You can't go wrong with eating at this place!
We used to frequent this restaurant often in the past, but since the new owners took over, the quality, service, and management have all suffered. I tried to order the scallop kebabs and the vanilla thrill salad, both listed on the menu in the back, but was told they were not available. It's puzzling why the owners haven't updated the menu even though it is prominently displayed and used by customers. The couple at the table next to us also had similar complaints. The tables were dirty and sticky, the food was greasy, and there were not enough servers available. I had to wait a long time to ask for a fork and eventually had to go up to the counter to be served. The overall concept of this restaurant doesn't make sense and I would recommend avoiding this place. I definitely will not be returning.
I usually prefer to write positive reviews, but I am getting tired of only seeing good ones. I feel like many people, including myself, do not like to say negative things. However, I felt the need to speak up about my recent experience at this restaurant. My daughter, her boyfriend, and I dined there a couple of weeks ago and noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. Our favorite items, such as the Vege burger and shrimp and scallop kebab, were no longer on the menu. We tried the Portabella sandwich, but it did not meet our expectations. The meatloaf sandwich was also disappointing, and the onion rings were too greasy. The fries were decent, but overall, we were not satisfied with our meal. Additionally, the restaurant was uncomfortably warm inside, and the tables were sticky. Despite the friendly staff member who offered us a replacement dish, we are unlikely to return to this restaurant in the future.
Stopped in this weekend to try for the first time since being down in Vero Beach. A friend of mine who's been here over 10 years talked highly of this place, so my wife and I came to try it. I tried the grouper reuben and my wife had the lobster roll, and we were both really happy with what we got. The portions were generous, the grouper was cooked great, and my wife said her lobster roll was really good. Our server Layla was really quick with it all and super friendly. Highly recommend it for someone looking for something fresh beachside and we will definitely be visiting again soon!
I was wondering what changed from the last time I ate here when it was amazing and it sounds like new owners took over. The last 2 times I ate here it was phenomenal, had the grouper reuben and turkey gobbler. I was craving the grouper reuben so I got one and sadly it was not the same quality as before. The bread had none of the perfectly buttered toastiness that it usually does, the fish was very fishy tasting and grey, it was fried too hot where the outside was too hard and the inside still had raw batter. The slaw wasn’t as flavorful as before and it sogged up the whole sandwich. If you’re charging $22 for a sandwich, the customer expects it to be executed well. I might try them one more time to see if this is the new trend or if they just had an off day.
