While staff was nice, it was a little weird to pay right when you walk in. I felt a little pressured to make a decision fast in order to not block the doorway. The address is wrong, since they must have relocated a few doors down since the restaurant was inside Sabri Indian Cuisine where there's an affordable buffet... however, I never got to get a look at the food. I'd go again to try to other naanwiches! There was so much variety to choose from and prices seemed to range from $7-$10 for each naanwich.
My work does a pick up from naanwich about once at least every two weeks. And it never dissapoints. It's a weird hole in the wall place with zero atmosphere, but the staff is friendly and they make awesome food. They grill your food right in front of you and even bake the naan while you wait. You can see the whole process. You can choose your veggies and sauces for your naanwich. Some of the sauces made in house.Keep in mind that even if you order mild, it can still have a little heat, and medium is more like a western hot.Go check it out, it's a good place to go.
Located in a strip mall just a few metres from the Galloping Goose Trail and the Tillicum Mall and has a very basic environment. The Naanwich is perfect if you do not want to cook lunch or dinner - take out or eat in. The Naanwich can be made of lamb, beef etc, and add ons customized to your liking. The chef/ owner will go out of his way to please you taste. The flavors are wonderful and must be experienced. If you have not tried East Indian food, give the Naanwich a try. Easy parking.
My Wife had been going on about this place for ever as her work usewally orders from here once a week. And you know when someone builds something up so much it can be a let down......Well not at all, it was amazing food.Yes it is a little bit of a hole in the wall but everything was clean and the staff very nice. The food was full of flavour. and keep in mind the food is suppose to be spicy and ful of flavor. So if your stomach is use to potatoes and chicken every night....then yes you will probaly be visiting the washroom. But it's not because of there food it's your lack of palette.I've got a new favorite place to eat in the city :)
My wife and I found ourselves wandering around looking for somewhere to eat and two of the places we tried were too full - we didn't want to wait. We fell back on our favourite snack/restaurant - Sabri Nanwich. My wife had lamb and I had chicken tikka masala (medium heat) and as usual it was great. Fresh nan, crunchy veggies, superbly cooked curry filling - what more could you want, topped of with a tamarind sauce.
