If you're in this place, it feels like you're on vacation. This mood, the music, the food, everything comes together. Among all choices in Villa de Leyva, TexMex and Pizza and good (but not fantastic) local cuisine, this was a refreshing choice. The food was one of the best Colombian meals I had on this trip.
This was almost the only place opened on Tuesday night and we were relieved to find it. Ss Veggies we had the cheese fondue option... an interesting resignation to the 1970s. It was good and we'd go back.
We saw that the Almuerzo de la Arue was advertised on a chalkboard outside, which looked like a very pretty court high-end restaurant. Lunch menu was ajiaco soup, I chose the Pescadero a la Grillo, which came home with splintered potatoes and a fresh green salad and rice. The fish was nicely grilled tilapia. Service was excellent. Pleasant atmosphere. Total price including a glass of jugo de feijoa (no translation) an amazing value of 10,000 Columbia pesos each! 5 usd.
