Went for lunch, was to greasy and the General Taho could hardly find any chicken. Not a well spent money wise, and not recommended.
The place itself looks fairly clean, there are dirtier places but there are places that are more clean. the service is horrible and the people skills is even worse..... wife has an allergy to fish, she wanted the wontons and asked if there was fish in it they said no but when she got it we could clearly smell the fish, i took bite from half of one to confirm this and yes it was fish. we asked the waiter again and maybe there was a mistake but he said its cooked in fish broth. the owner came out of the kitchen and he said well all the food here is sea food, (not what the waiter had said) he didnt want to exchange for another, he said dont worry about it. later we get the bill and he charged us for the plate that we didnt even eat, he then gave us a lesson on not to waste food even though you dont like it. this is a question of life or death literally, he clearly understood us and spoke very good English. he then said he would charge half the dish since we ate some, we ate half of one, and he said i count how many i put in. he definitely needs to focus on his people skills and understand how serious allergies are. dont think we will be going back there ever again.
I use to order lunch there all the time from my work. It was great! Since then, I go eat there at least once a month to enjoy their great menu! The food is amazing, the staff as well! it's a bring your own wine! Very worth it for every occasion
I was very disappointed with the staff at the La Perle, I have a sever allergie to fish and before ordering anything I explained this to my waiter and said if there was any risk of it being in anything to warn me. Well main course was fine but for desert I ordered fried bananas. I took one small bit and before I could take a second bit my tongue was swelling. I quickly went up to the counter where my waiter was and asked if by chance the bananas could of been fried in the same oil as fish. Sure enough he said it was, he just shrugged his shoulders when I asked why he had not warned me and did not seem to care. My husband had to quickly take me out as I needed treatment right away, we quickly gave our friends money for our bill and left. Our friends talked to staff and no one seemed to care. This can kill me that is why I made sure to explain clearly to staff before ordering. It is now 22 hours later and I am still suffering effects from this cross contamination.
