You can order either in the store or in the restaurant. They also have a coffee bar and serve craft beer, and the prices are inexpensive. Tons of parking, handicap accessible. Highly recommended.
We love going here. We don't get a lot of items from here each time we shop but we get maybe $50 to $80 bucks worth usually. It is pricey compared to other grocery stores and Trader Joe's but some things you can only find here. I really love the fresh produce, fresh peanut butters, food to go, eat-in kitchen/area, bakery, fresh pasta/cheese (I love Italian food), etc. We have eaten in here a few times and always liked the food. We will probably eat in here again in the future. I usually grab some fresh Italian ingredients for pasta, fresh baked goods, some dry goods, and usually some candy to try out and other random items. They had a sample of an ice cream sandwich last time and it was delish. I love when they have samples available. It is such a great idea for customers. I will be back again, like always.
The Porch is the sorriest excuse for a “businessâ€. Employees often leave with nothing in hand and do not get breaks (food or restroom) and are not permitted to drink water during several hours long shifts. Managers are blatantly disrespectful to, and take advantage of, employees often using the fear of VA being a “right to hire and fire†state as a scare tactic to prevent employees from reporting their extremely poor practices. Because of this, they are unable to keep employees, except for those who are “afraid to burn bridgesâ€. There is an obvious racial divide regarding scheduling as well; the likelihood of a server, bartender, or hostess being blonde haired and blue eyed during peak hours is inevitable while anyone else is typically scheduled during slower hours (likely not to make any tips) or in areas where costumers are less likely to sit (outside patio during rain or high heat). There is absolutely nothing that serious about ensuring bougie people get their midday drink and overpriced food fix to allow these horrible “business†practices to continue. I would have reported to Better Business Bureau, but they are “conveniently†not listed.
Service was really bad after a long wait with empty tables everywhere. The food was good overall but not worth the wait.
A little light on the prepared foods. Fruit was awesome. Otherwise typical Whole Foods vibe. Cashier was helpful when we could not get my Amazon Prime to scan.
