Good food, fun little bar, and restaurant I would definitely go back again..
Very rude server! When we arrived, we sat there for a while and decided to help by clearing off our table ourselves. When the server came over, there were four of us, and we asked how she was with a smile... She replied BUSY And threw the menus at us, Never offered to wipe off our table.. She came back to take our order, and we asked what they put their bloody marys, and she looked at us and said... Uhhh...vodka? And bloody Mary mix? Like we were stupid for asking. When she delivered our drinks, she put all of them in the corner of the table and we distributed them ourselves. We at that point, decided we were leaving because of the rude service, so we told her we decided we were not going to eat and she said Well the wait for food is An hour and a half! Grab the menus and walked away. We were planning to spend the entire afternoon there eating and watching the Vikings game... We left after the one drink and went to Bayview where the service was tremendous!
Had a wonderful feed here after hours spent at Hennepin. This place caught my eye when I was driving to the state park, so when I asked if Lena and I could sit outside and got an enthusiastic “yes!”, I was sold. Simple burger and beer for me. Hand made patty’s were taaaaaasty! Fires were hot and a mix of size/crunchiness which I appreciate. My waitress was Coral and she was 10/10, kind and bubbly in a genuine way. The place was hopping, but I enjoyed the outdoor patio with a slight drizzle. A faux camp fire warmed me from time to time. (No phones for dinner tonight, but if you saw it, you’d be drooling)
The food was excellent and the service was decent. The bar itself is nice, but I was surrounded by locals (evidenced by the fact that they all knew each other) who had zero volume control and basically acted like 9 year olds. Aside from the staff, I felt like I was the only adult in the room. I so rarely go out to these small town bars because the locals are such idiots, but that’s rural America for you.
