Phoenix Garden Chinese English Takeaway

Tonight we ordered from Welcome, we used to go all the time and moved out of the area. So when visiting family we thought to order! We were slightly disappointed the spring rolls were over done and a little burnt and the salt and pepper chips were very dry and tasted like they’d been cooked hours ago and kept warm… There was minimal veg and the onions were super dry! The soft noodles, curry and egg fried rice were nice though!

I ordered takeout and it arrived promptly at a good price. Unfortunately, the food was very bland, low quality, and the sweet and sour sauce tasted artificial. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. I hope I can still get a good night's sleep after this disappointing meal.

Ordered take away at 6.40 pm, Was advised would be delivered 45 minutes later. One hour and 10 minutes later I called to find out where my food was. Was then told food was on its way. 25 minutes later no food arrived, called to ask where it was ! The reply was we had no delivery drivers !! Avoid this establishment !!!!!

I ordered takeout from this restaurant. When it arrived, the food was lukewarm, the curry sauce didn't have much flavor, and the fried rice was too thick and sticky. As a result, we only ate part of the order. I called the restaurant to provide feedback, and they agreed to collect the uneaten food and issue a refund. However, the lady I spoke to was rude and suggested that since no one else had complained, the food must have been okay. I was not satisfied with this response and will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

We used to frequent this restaurant every Saturday, but after a decline in quality, we stopped going. We decided to give it another chance and ordered a takeaway, but were extremely disappointed, especially when it arrived nearly 2 hours late. The salt and pepper spare ribs were full of fat and gristle, the salt and pepper chicken was dry, and the egg foo yung was overly salty and all tasted the same. I was always a fan of their fillet steak in satay sauce, but was told they were out of it. It seems that it will be a while before we visit again, as we used to love this place.
