My first time at Ocean Mist was over 30 years ago. Only missed the one year during Covid. It has not changed much over the years. The food has been great for as long as I can remember. You might go there for the location but will enjoy anything youorder there. My goto is a plan burrito with a ranch water to drink. Love sitting near window or on the deck and watch thesurfers. I like how it changes throughout the day. From an older crould to college students at night. I 've not beent there forbreakfast or after 10PM. Had a server once say you might want to leave soon as there will be live music. I 've danced therewith a friend. The two reasons it almost deserves 4 Stars is parking has become a bigger problem and it can be so busy you willnot get a table or even be able to order a drink easily. Both issues are caused by Ocean Mist being one of the coolest bars I goto. A rainy weekday is great since it 's not usually busy. From 2001; Great after a day at the beach or kayaking.
Honest personal review incoming: a staple of Rhode Island culture, chances are you will end up here one day if you enjoy going to bars. Unfortunately this isn 't really my kind of place, and here 's why the place has a dive bar on the ocean look &atmosphere but that 's where the whole dive bar experience ends. Prepare to shell out $15 for a sub par burger, $20 for the leastflavorful steak tacos and rice, and $3 for a glass of soda water. Service varies: we had a very friendly waitress and she wasexcellent taking care of us recently. In the past, when it 's very busy, expect to pay a cover fee and wait a long time just toget in. Two stars because the view is very cool and it *is* one of a kind. But this is teetering very close to one star for me.
The O Mist is by far my favorite place in Rhode Island. This casual beach shanty bar is right on the water. The Ocean Mist is the perfect spot for lunch, brunch, or to grab a few cocktails. If you catch the sunset the patio/outdoor seating is where youwant to be! Mudslides with Cafe Patron XO the D.R.P are my go to drinks. The shrimp scallop tacos are 10/10. The staff isvery friendly and attentive. The parking is the only downfall but you can figure it out with a little patience. Support local run don't walk to the Ocean Mist.
Decent food and variety. We visited in July and there was a band getting ready to play. Place was nearly full and waited for a table. Very friendly, attentive and capable staff to handle a full crowd, yet no management roaming the floor in 3 hours we werethere. A louder than normal business, very loud when band is playing. Bring your outdoor voices. Has a beach area, outdoorseating tent/bar. Parking is a challenge as there is no patron parking and on street parking is public. A lot of custom drinks, even premixed frozen ones in ice cream machines.. Crime of the century: they have /sell? shirts mimicking the Miller High Lifelogo with a cool ?Ocean Mist Low Life? graphic, yet they don?t sell Miller High Life at the bar?.. Regardless I?d definitelyreturn in the future, just stating the facts.
