Genova Delicatessen - Walnut Creek

I have been going to Genova for the past 30 years. Nothing has changed. They are amazing. Great people. Plan on waiting because it 's almost always packed. Excellent service. Try something new... I just had the Truffle Raviolis and I asked the lady who works there ... What 's do I put on it? She said, 'keep it super simple. Butter, garlic, olive oil and Parm... Don 't overwhelm them. They were AMAZING... Take your number and browse... Try something new. You will not be disappointed.

I may be a bit biased as I really enjoyed the Oakland location of this restaurant, so visiting this one brought back good memories. They offer a fantastic variety of local and other products, and their sandwiches are great. I also purchased their eggplant Parmigiano for dinner later in the week. The staff are quick and efficient. I will definitely be returning. I ordered the sausage and meatball sandwich, which was a substantial meal on its own. The meatballs were well-flavored and the sauce was not overpowering.

This restaurant has the best sandwiches in the area, but be prepared for long wait times. The food is of high quality and very satisfying, although it can be a bit on the pricey side. If you don't mind waiting in line with a crowd, it's definitely worth it.

Got there at noon on a Saturday, so the wait was a little long, but the sandwich was very good. Don't forget to grab a number when you walk in.
