It?s also apparently great place to sit in a stall for an hour and talk on the phone. Andplease if you?re in a Ram truck don?t forget to go on the big rig side and get your fuel there so truckers will hate you evenmore than they already do. God bless everyone!
Only good thing this location has going for it is very friendly staff. Other than that it's extremely run down location. Fuel pumps are usually broke down, trash over flowing everywhere, pot holes ruts in the lot that your truck gets stuck in, notmention the rows are to close together making it extremely difficult to park once the lot starts filling up.
The engineer who designed this layout should seriously reconsider their career. There's only one entrance and one exit, which leads to a chaotic situation with trucks piling up as they try to leave. I stopped by to refuel and grab a bite to eat, but when I saw how poorly it was organized, it took me over half an hour just to get out of the parking lot.
I really dislike having to stay here, and I hope this is the last time. The laundry room machines are incredibly dirty; I wouldn’t put our clothes or bedding in them. I'm talking about corroded gunk. Today, they are out of fountain Dr. Pepper, fresh tea, ice, and only have small cups for the fountain drinks. When I asked if they would be out all weekend, I was told, "Well, they didn’t send us any." Seriously? Do they really get their ice shipped? They rarely empty the trash cans, preferring to let the trash blow into the neighboring property, polluting the public water supply. All the boards around here have nails sticking out of them. I can’t believe this town allows such neglect. Sadly, this is actually the cleanest I’ve ever seen it. This is what you get for reserved parking, which is supposed to be the premium section. I wish the locals would demand better, especially when it comes to their water. On a positive note, for the first time, the bathrooms are decent; I hope the showers are, too. I can’t stand litter, and it’s disgraceful that a business operates like this. And before anyone blames the truckers, let me clarify that this has been the same situation every time we’ve visited. The trash cans by the truck parking are never emptied. This mess didn’t happen overnight; it’s a pattern that Flying J seems to think is acceptable.
This store is a good size and extremely clean, with plenty of stock available. The staff is friendly and professional, which adds to the positive experience. There's the typical PFJ food selection, and they also have a Denny's for additional meal options. Plus, they serve my favorite bean-to-cup coffee! The drivers' restroom is well-maintained, which is always appreciated. The truck parking lot is spacious and generally easy to navigate.
