We found every dish we were served to be tasty. It was enjoyable the first time, but not every dish throughout the restaurant. However, upon trying the food, it didn't taste as good as it looked. I couldn't even finish my trout. We ended up leaving before we could try the supposedly delicious dessert.
Located in a formal setting on Wandsworth Common, this restaurant offers warm service and beautifully presented (and great tasting) food. While it may not be the easiest to reach from Central London, it is worth the trip out. The menu is simple yet diverse, with excellent fish and seafood options. The specials are interesting and confidently offered by the waiter. The sirloin steak and homemade lemon tart with lovely short pastry were particularly noteworthy. Despite being quiet on a Saturday night, likely due to being a relatively new establishment (opened 3 months ago), it is recommended for a romantic dinner for two or a group of friends looking for something beyond a pub supper. With a Gourmet Society discount, it offers exceptional value, but even without, it remains a good value for a London venue.
Food is less than average despite good presentation. Staff is kind but very slow. Won't go back
This restaurant seems to have closed. on the door was a note that said the building had been revived.
