Down Home Diner - Warren AFB

Food and service were okay. I would eat here again. Nothing good brag about.

Stopped in while driving along rte 80, I read only one review, from 10 months ago. What a mistake. The french fry oil needs to be either filtered out or changed. The french fries are greasy and limpy. Husband ordered a club sandwich and asked for it to only be cut in half. As you can see it came and it wasn't cut at all. My chicken sandwich was very good. I must say, they could have pounded out the chicken a little so it didn't have a big thick end to it. The server was very polite. The restaurant needs to have a full-time cashier and a bus person. When we were leaving, people were coming in and waiting for a clean table! Went to get gas and we both went running to the bathroom ... lunch went right through us!

I read a review that it was the best breakfast in 900 miles, and I 100% agree.

Excellent stop for breakfast, everything cooked perfectly.

Great food a d large portions. This is a truck stop diner that I would definitely recommend.
