During my first attempt, I encountered three unprofessional, indifferent young women behind the counter. I stood there as they argued about who would take their break and they refused to take my order. One of them declared, "I'm going on break," and another just walked away, leaving the third one to reluctantly ask for my order. I decided to walk away at that point. During my second attempt today, a similar situation occurred. A Southwest pilot and I approached the counter at the same time. One of the employees was disposing of old mac and cheese into the trash can while I stood in front of her, waiting to place my order. She did not even look up or acknowledge our presence. The pilot and I exchanged a glance and chose to go elsewhere for food. The lack of professionalism at Shapiro's is concerning and I question their hiring practices. I urge them to make changes to their operations as it is not only embarrassing but also the reason why neighboring stores are busy while Shapiro's remains empty. I will not be returning to this establishment.
This was the third time this month that I arrived at the counter well before 10:30 (the advertised breakfast cutoff) and was told by employees at the back counter, "we're out of breakfast food!" This experience has led me to never give them my business again.
