After some extensive research combining ambience, food, dessert, cost, business (I?m still very covid-conscious, and overall experience, I decided on this place for our 2-year dating anniversary dinner. We had a reservation for 7pm on a Wednesday night. There were about 10 other guests there and we were hid away in a corner away from all of them which made my night very comfortable. The host asked the occasionand were very pleased to hear we chose them as our place to celebrate. The waiter, Jonathan, was full of great suggestions?we decided on the garlic bread and spiced calamari to start, a couple of cocktails, my boyfriend chose the goatcheese ravioli and I chose the gnocchi and mushroom dish. Everything was delicious (the gnocchi practically melted in my mouth) and the portions weren?t too big. In my opinion, the dishes were well-priced for the quality without breakingthe bank. We both had dessert?tiramisu and the hazelnut cake?and both were divine. The restaurant helped us celebrate too with two glasses of champagne, a vanilla sorbet, and a lovely card. Thank you so much, Jonathan and Steven (Manager),for your wonderful service and gorgeous location. Last night was a night we?ll remember for a long time!
Service was great and food was delicious. The garlic bread was a decent size for two and my pasta dish was the perfect dinner serving. The server was kind enough to gift us soft serve ice cream to eat with our cake.
Went for dinner and got the garlic bread to start and the lasagna as my main dish. This restaurant was amazing and very authentic. The staff was extremely friendly. Had a cake, which I forgot the name of, for dessert and it tasted like a ferrero rocher! Great restaurant overall and I can?t wait to come back.
The tempo of the meal was a chaos that was a consistent problem with sfoglina for some time. the meal began with some broth and olive oil broth was as hard as it was not possible. appetizer came literally 2 minutes after ordering, cocktail 25 minutes later. we wanted the kitchen to be in the mood of the main course. when we told the waiter that he should go on, the main thing came within minutes that our question was not honoured.
A let down based on all the positive reviews. Food was delicious but service (if you could call it that) was awful. They gave us plenty of time to decide on menu choices and by that, I mean they ignored us for a while. When the waiter finally did come up to offer water and drinks we were ready to order food. Ordered a meatball dish (amazing) a small salad, two sups (also delicious) and two mains (both good). Asked for them to pace app and salad first then soup and then mains. I Lao said I’d like to order a wine with the main. This was the last time we saw the waiter. Food runner, of course, brought app, salad and soups at the same time. I ate the soup first since it was hot. The runner then dropped the mains while I was eating salad. So tacky. Never had a chance to order wine so we just ate. Another waiter finally came to pick up dirty plates and asked if we wanted dessert but we were done by then and asked for the check. He brought it and disappeared to back of the house with my card. Will keep an eye on that. Start to finish we were there maybe 50 minutes and never once were we asked how things were. Bad showing and as good as the food was I doubt we’d come back.
